Personnel of the International Buddhist Studies College participated in a ceremonial bathing of the Buddha image and in pouring water to receive blessings from the university’s senior administrators, in order to uphold the Thai Songkran tradition for the year 2569 BE (2026).
On Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 3:00 PM
the International Buddhist Studies College organized the Buddha bathing and blessing ceremony as part of the annual Songkran observance.
The event was attended in unity by the university’s executives, faculty members, and staff, aiming to boost morale and bring auspiciousness to their work. It also served to promote and preserve Thailand’s rich cultural traditions during the Songkran festival for future generations.
The ceremony took place at the Somdet Phra Buddhaghosacarya Building, International Buddhist Studies College, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University
